Playbill Advertising Opportunities

Theater PlaybillsAllens Lane Theater produces five plays per season. Each play runs for three weekends (8 performances each), with an opening reception after the first performance of each play for the cast, crew and the audience. The theater has cabaret-style seating so patrons can bring dinner and beverages to enjoy at their table before the show which gives them plenty of time to read your advertisement. Our theater attracts some of Philadelphia’s premiere theater talent, including directors, actors and crew who regularly work in professional theaters in the greater Philadelphia area.

For each play, we create a program book that highlights the actors, the center, our sponsors and advertisers. Theater playbills are handed out to over 3,000+ theater goers each year. Additionally, exposure on our website’s theater pages generates about 12,000 unique visitors each season. Individuals, businesses, organizations or anyone wishing to help out our organization can place an ad or sponsor a play for an entire season.

NEW = Now you can get your ad or coupon directly connected to our ticket buyers email receipts! This is an ideal ad for restaurants and caterers who want to get their message in front of our ticket buyers. Remember that our theater is BYOB and we encourage patrons to bring a picnic dinner with them!

Our advertising rates start at just $100 for a quarter-page ad or business card for the entire season.

Rasheeda Speaking
Written by Joel Drake Johnson
Directed by Scott Grumling
Nov. 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 Dec. 1, 2, 3

Blending awkward workplace comedy with intense racial tension, this workplace thriller examines the realities of so-called "post-racial" America when two middle aged female co-workers - one black, one white - are driven apart by the machinations of their boss. A chilling power struggle ensues that spins wildly out of control. An acidic depiction of race, power, and friendship, this dark comedy will keep you in its claustrophobic grip until its final moments. We are proud to present the Philadelphia Regional premiere of this critically acclaimed recent off-Broadway hit.

To complicate matters further, the Sycamores (girl’s family) own a piece of real estate key to Mr. Kirby’s business success, and they refuse to sell. During this ill-fated evening, tempers flare, fireworks are set off and the police arrive to take everyone to jail! Will the hilarious antics of the Sycamore family stand in the way of Alice's future happiness or will Tony be able to show his parents that their way of life needs a little madness!

The Most Deserving
Written by Catharine Trieschmann
Directed by Nancy Kreider
Mar. 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18

The five members of the arts council in Ellis County, Kansas have $20,000 to award to a deserving artist, but there aren't that many artists around, and besides, they're having trouble deciding just what constitutes "deserving." Everyone has a motive for supporting his or her candidate, and those motives are fueled more by pragmatism, hatred, lust or petty score-settling than by aesthetic appreciation. Yikes, can this dysfunctional board figure out who is "most deserving"?

I Hate Hamlet
Written by Paul Rudnick
Directed by Mariangela Saavedra.
May 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20

Andrew seems to have it all: a starring role in a hit television series; a rich, beautiful girlfriend; a devoted agent; the perfect New York apartment that once once belonged to the legendary actor John Barrymore; and the chance to play Hamlet in Central Park. But alas, there is always trouble in paradise as his show is on hiatus, his girlfriend is fickle and he really, really HATES Hamlet. Can the ghost of John Barrymore convince him to accept the part and fulfill his actor's destiny? The laughs are nonstop as Andrew wrestles with his conscience, his sword, his girlfriends expectations, Barrymore's ghost and the fact that he could fail at his turn as Hamlet.
