Wheel Throwing and Handbuilding (All Levels)
This class is designed for all levels, whether you’re new to clay or have previous experience. Students will learn the basics of the potter’s wheel, as well as the basics for handbuilding. Surface decorating techniques will include carving, slip painting, and glaze combining. Demonstrations and visual inspiration will be presented weekly. Group discussion and individual feedback will be provided. Bring your own ideas, or work along with the class with weekly projects.

About the Instructor: Nathan Willever
Nathan Willever was raised in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine. He has taught numerous classes and workshops on functional pottery at institutions incuding The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, PA, Ox-Bow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan, and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, ME.
