Class Description: Reignite your love of art and drawing! Whether you're new to drawing, haven't drawn in years, tried it recently but gave up, or have experience and want to practice in a community of artists, come and hone your skills! Learn new ways to see and approach drawing both methodically and metaphorically and embrace a methodology where it's process over product.
Materials: Students will need to bring; a sketch pad (any size), charcoals, various pencil leads, kneaded eraser (other materials will be provided)

About the Instructor: Zipora is a figurative artist and illustrator who graduated from School of Visual Arts in NYC along with studies in painting, printmaking, and sculpture at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She has taught art in public and private schools for about 20 years and is currently teaching a few classes at ALAC. For several years, she coordinated storytellings and art projects for humane education at various libraries and schools. She believes in the power of all the arts to communicate and educate; to elicit joy and deep change in the individual and society.
