Overview

Allens Lane Art Center offers short term rental opportunities for special events, like birthday parties, anniversaries, meetings, music concerts, and performances. Located in a former carriage house on 7 acres in beautiful Fairmount Park, the Art Center has several art studios, a professionally equipped theater, an art gallery, and a kitchen.

Since the Center’s rooms are primarily utilized by our programs and offerings, you are encouraged to contact us to confirm availability. We also encourage anyone who is interested but has not yet visited the Center to contact us to schedule a tour of the facility.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate at Allens Lane Art Center with a themed birthday party by Claire Golden Drake.

 

RENTAL PRICES

Studio 1  – $200/hr | 3‑hour minimum
Ideal for workshops, rehearsals, small gatherings, and creative sessions.
 
Studio 2/Library  – $175/hr | 3‑hour minimum
A flexible space suitable for meetings, classes, and intimate events.
 
Theater Rental (Parties, Events, Performances) –
$350/hr | 3‑hour minimum
Rehearsal time: $30/hr
Seats 100 and is ideal for performances, readings, concerts, and staged events.
 
 
Required Additional Fees
  • Kitchen Use: $175 flat fee
  • Cleaning Fee: $175 (automatically added to all rentals)

EVENT SETUP

Please provide your table and chair needs at least one week before your event.
Available inventory:
  • Ten 60″ round tables
  • Five 30″ x 6′ rectangular tables
  • Two 30″ x 5′ tables
  • 80 chairs
Facilities must be left in the same condition as received, including removal of all trash.
 

How to Reserve Your Date

Contact us to confirm availability. If your date is open, we will place it on a 10‑day hold. A 50% deposit, along with a signed Rental Contract and Rental Agreement, is due within the hold period.

 

Final Payment

Due 10 days prior to your event by cash, check, or credit card.
 
 

Cancellation & Change Policy

  • More than 60 days before event: Full deposit refunded
  • 31–60 days before event: 20% of deposit retained
  • Within 30 days: Deposit non‑refundable
  • Acts of God / weather: We will work to reschedule; if no suitable date is found, deposit refunded in full

Park and Playground Reservations

The park area and playground are part of Fairmount Park, and are not under the authority of Allens Lane Art Center. For information about park use permits or reserving the park for your event, contact the City of Philadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department. Allens Lane Art Center does not schedule or oversee any of the activities that occur in the park, nor do we provide building access for Parks and Recreation reservations.
