Job & Internship Opportunities
Please note: We are currently fully staffed for the 2026 Summer Camp and Class Term, and all Lead and Assistant Teaching Artist positions have been filled. However, we will be keeping applications open for those who would like to share their experience and interest with us for future opportunities.

Community Outreach Ambassador (Part-Time, As Needed)
Allens Lane Art Center (ALAC) is seeking trusted community members familiarity with the neighborhoods of Northwest Philadelphia to serve as Community Outreach Ambassadors as part of a new initiative designed to strengthen connections between ALAC and the communities we serve.
Community Outreach Ambassadors will help build awareness of ALAC programs and opportunities while serving as connectors, listeners, and trusted messengers within their neighborhoods. Responsibilities may include distributing promotional materials, attending community events, making introductions to local organizations and residents, gathering feedback about community interests and needs, and representing ALAC at community events and the Mt. Airy Arts Festival.
This position begins with an anticipated commitment of approximately 10 hours for two weeks in mid July, followed by ongoing opportunities on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Work must generally be completed weekdays between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening or weekend event opportunities.
Successful candidates will be reliable, personable, and comfortable engaging with diverse audiences.
Ambassadors must have access to reliable transportation and be able to travel throughout Northwest Philadelphia.
Compensation is $20 per hour.
