Job & Internship Opportunities
Teaching Artists
Allens Lane Art Center is looking for educators who love sharing their craft and are excited to bring hands-on, joyful learning to students of all ages. Any one interested in being considered should complete the teaching artist application bellow in full.
Pay Rate: $32.50 per hour
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with youth and/or adults, depending on the role
- Hands-on experience in one or more of our program mediums
- Reliability, punctuality, and availability that matches a program’s full session
- For youth roles: patience, enthusiasm, and strong supervision skills
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent professional experience) in your teaching area
- Experience teaching in your subject area
- Ability to create and share lesson plans and syllabi for courses you will teach
- PA clearances are required for all teachers working with youth prior to your first day of work
We’re hiring on a rolling basis for classes starting in September with priority on the classes listed below.
Youth Programs (Ages 6–8 & 9–12)
After School Studios – Monday–Friday 4:00–5:30 PM
September 14–November 9
Drawing/Mixed Media, Theater, Fiber Arts, Printmaking, Comics, Crafts
(preference will be given to artists available 2+ days/week)
Day Off Camps – Friday 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
September 18 & October 9

Adult Programs
One time workshops
Oct 16, 6:30–9:30 PM — Ceramics (Mugs), Printmaking (Screenprinting)
Nov 13, 6:30–9:30 PM — Printmaking (Cards)
Nov 13, 7:00–9:00 PM — Ceramics (Sgraffito)
