Summer Camp 2025

Allens Lane Art Center Summer Art Camp is a fun, creative, and enriching experience for campers ages 5-12.

About Summer Camp

June 23 – August 15
There is no camp on July 4th, 2025
REGISTRATION STARTS JANUARY 27, 8:00 AM!

This is a camp where we play with art—but take the joy of creating seriously.

Aligned with our dedication to make the arts accessible to everyone in our community, campers will explore a variety of creative outlets. Each week offers a fresh workshop, medium, and theme to spark discovery. From painting and drawing to ceramics, improv, scriptwriting, film, and more – there’s always something new to try!

Campers will dive into full days of artistic exploration and hands-on learning, with time to enjoy the beautiful Allens Lane Park nearby. Plus, each week will culminate in a Friday afternoon showcase, where our young artists get to share their creations and celebrate their progress.

Ready to explore, create, and shine? Summer Art Camp awaits!

The Summer Art Camp 2025 Schedule will be available on January 21st!

*Classes are subject to change and are based on instructor availability.

We are welcoming back many of our very talented and experienced teaching artists and assistants this coming summer!

On Fridays

Fridays at Summer Art Camp are all about celebrating creativity! Every week, we dedicate time to curating our Friday Showcases and Summer Fun Field Days. On Friday afternoons, your child will have the chance to share what they’ve learned and showcase their artwork in our studios and gallery. The showcase, running approximately from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm, features visual arts exhibits throughout the first floor and short performances in our theater. Parents and relatives are warmly invited to join in the excitement and support our young artists!

Daily Camp Schedule

Drop-Off: 8:30 am – 9:30 am
Start your child’s day with a fun and relaxed drop-off! Campers will be greeted in our lobby and escorted to our spacious Theater, where they’ll be supervised by counselors and teaching assistants while they draw, color, explore our children’s book collection, solve puzzles, or play board games. Parents must sign their child in every morning and sign them out at pickup to ensure safety.

First Half of the Day: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
The first class begins at 9:30 am. Our team will help campers transition from the Theater to their classrooms. Workshops will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm, with a 30-minute minimum outdoor activity break between 10:30 and 11 am. On rainy days, we’ll take the fun indoors with structured games and playtime in our Dance Studio and Theater.

Lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Campers will bring their own lunches, snacks, and water bottles. Our younger groups will enjoy recess first, while our younger Lunch will be served outdoors (weather permitting) or in the Theater space. During lunch, kids can play on the Allens Lane Park playground or basketball courts. After lunch, the second class will begin at 1:00 pm, with campers transitioning to their next activity with the help of teaching artists and assistants.

Second Half of the Day: 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Classes run from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute minimum outdoor break for games and play between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm. If the weather isn’t ideal, we’ll continue the fun indoors with games and activities in our studios and Theater.

Pick-Up: 3:30 pm
At 3:30 pm, campers will return to the Theater space to await pickup or aftercare. Parents must pick up their child from the Theater and sign them out.

Aftercare: 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
For campers staying in aftercare, fun continues with reading, drawing, coloring, structured games, and free play in the Theater or Dance Studio. Aftercare is available on a weekly basis. Please note: after 5:45 pm, a $50 late fee applies.

Friday Showcases: 3:30 pm – 4:15 pm
Fridays are special at Summer Art Camp! From 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm, campers showcase their artwork and performances throughout the building. Parents are encouraged to attend and must pick up any artwork at the end of the showcase.
